Leading the Charge

In an age of technology that allows virtually immediate access to any information you desire, the accessibility to how we view newspapers, magazines and even books has changed drastically over the last 5 years. This begs the question, what happens to the previous forms of communication that we took for granted?

With an increasing percentage of people using online billing for mortgage payments, credit cards and utilities, frequency of how often we use the Postal Service has decreased. From a national to local level most are looking to tighten their belt. Based on supply and demand changes in the Postal Service are inevitable.

What could this mean to schools and nonprofits? The nation’s 1.8 million nonprofits received more than $300 billion in 2009, according to Guidestar. Direct mail accounted for 78 percent of contributions in 2009, according to Target Analytics. As reported from http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/08/17/nonprofits-oppose-measure-wiping-out-their-mail-discounts/

Times have changed for fundraising and we here at DonateBin are leading the charge. By innovating new ways for businesses, schools and nonprofits to effortlessly interact as partners, using a platform built for scalability (a platform tested to the same standards used in Fortune 500 companies and the latest dot-coms). Doing this with no out of pocket expenses to our partners is how we’ll successfully transition them into this new era of fundraising.
